The snake

Walking sullen as winter
In this untimely May
I come upon the shattered skull and spine of a snake.
He lay frozen in evil circles in the roadside brake
Caught in a poor time by a loud car or a clever bicycle
As Jack o' lanterns die into pumpkins
And hellish toadstools dry and flake
With the turning of light.
Seeing his military line untroubled by legs
And even his ambiguous tongue
That had tapped out ways and ways before him
Gone into daylight,
I lost some winter into daylight.
The year was high and the wetness had gone out of it;
And in the road the unstrung snake
His geometry cruelly warped
His meaning undone like

My little bear Boo fell ill and so I had to call in a nurse. She really had a nice bedside manner-- Boo loved her... and I enjoyed having her around as well!

Thanks very much. Indeed, he's a lucky little guy! Yes, the shoes... they're a key part of my wardrobe-- gotta have the shoes!

I want to be Boo!!! Still got those BIG shoes. Great to see some more of your work! Believe it or not I like the setting of this very much! The Model is GREAT but I like the backround detail as well! Welcome back!
