General Electric Corp. is known to bring good things to life... such as the GEC Mini Gun, an electric gatlin gun that spews forth 3000 rounds per minute. This gun is used in the AC-130 in combination with the Vulcan system which makes for some pretty potent capabilties. In the movie Predator you may have noticed that Jesse Ventura was using a hand held version of the GEC.... a fantastic idea indeed as I doubt that even Jesse could handle the ficticious firearm.

This mesh represents a smaller, more managable version of the mini gun.... using smaller rounds with a torque compensator and ergonomic controls. A human might be able to manage a firearm like this. Now..... to solve the problem of carrying enough ammo to support the beast.....

Original model was an unfinished freebie from an unknown author. It appears as though the author was going for the larger mounted version. I've taken what he or she had and have fashioned and finished it into a hand held unit in a free 3D program called Wings 3D. Give it a try if you want to play with some 3D..... it's a pretty cool program.... and the price is right.

Hoping to use this gun in a render soon.

I'm quite sure it's "gatling" and not "gatlin". Sorry to nitpick, I like the work!

Technically you're right... it was Richard J. Gatling who developed the weapon in 1861... but somewhere along the way some of us started dropping the 'g' and it became 'Gatlin'... or as some call it a 'gat gun' or just 'gat'. I suppose I should have denoted the dropped 'g' with the proper punctuation... gatlin' gun. Shame on me... bad English major! ;)

I highly recommend the game Hitman: Contracts. Eventually (either through legitimate means or cheating) one can aquire a minigun. There are a number of "night club" scenes that work quite well.

how can you say 'the body' couldnt handle that gun?!?!? you know he could, and i watchd predator today, and my fav line from that movie is from him when they are in the helicopter when he trys to pass out the chewing tobacco...' bunch of slack jawd pussies....this shit will make you a sexual tyranisouruse...' HA! that is cool tho, like everything you do my friend. keep it up!

That is a GREAT qoute! There are several in that movie. Jesse is the man.... I would argue that. Is that why you started to chew? ;)

haha, i dont chew, it looks like it would just be to nasty to even try. but jesse is the man, and Predator is a great movie, better than the 2nd one in my mind. (most movies arent as good as the 1st ones, but there are always exceptions.) but i think that has to be one of my fav lines in that movie! i need to get that back from my gf... think shes the one that has it... that and 'The Thing' another great scifi old school movie! and ill try to get some of my pics up that ive taken, pc has been being gay again so ill have to figure something out.
